Commissioned Work

House Portraits: Traditional Style

Watercolor portraits of your home are painted either from photographs or, where geographically possible, “en plein air, on the spot. An 11” x 14” matted, unframed painting is priced at $450. For larger or smaller pieces, please contact me for a price.

When ordering your painting, be sure to include any preferences you may have concerning the time of year, changes in landscape, or the addition of family members, pets, or vehicles in front of your home.

House Portraits: Key West Style

Same as above but with looser, "Key West" flavor. Other Examples of these can be seen in the Gallery.

Again, when ordering your painting, be sure to include any preferences you may have concerning the time of year, changes in landscape, or the addition of family members, pets, or vehicles in front of your home.

Wedding Still Life:

Do you know someone who is about to get married? What do you know about the bride and groom? I will design and paint a watercolor still life depicting how the couple met, where they went on their first date, the date of their wedding, their careers, and any other particulars you may know. You and I will design the painting together especially for the couple. (see sample thumbnail)

As with the house portraits, I may need photographs in order to complete the piece. People have included their pets, their musical instruments, and even photos of the exact spot where the groom proposed (an ambulance!). I will also talk with you to map out what will be in the still life setting. The price for an 11” x 14” matted, unframed watercolor is $450.

Ordering Commissioned Work:

To order your commissioned piece, go to the Contact Me page, I will contact you and give you my address. Then, mail or e-mail a color photo of your home, or parts of the still life along with a check, money order or cashiers check for 50% of the final purchase price.

Within two weeks, you will receive a preliminary sketch. Once you have notified me that this sketch meets with your approval, I will send you the final painting approximately two weeks later. Full payment is expected upon receipt of the final piece. Again, I accept check, money order or cashiers check made out to Karen Beauprie.

I look forward to working with you on a very special painting!
